I know most of you will skip this article thinking its does not hold much importance, but I recommend you all to read this article at least one. You will loose nothing but gain something. I’ve seen many articles that are very well written but not well presented. In order, this should not happen to you, here is my today’s article where I’ll tell you some points that will help you to write a good blog post. Lets start :

Write eye catching post title

If you are on WordPress, you can write two titles for a single post. First title to catch readers attention and second title for search engine optimization. When selecting a heading for your article make sure it is short and attractive. Heading should be interesting and should match the post content. This will increase the click through rate and will get more page visits.

Make post title SEO friendly

As told above, WordPress helps you to write two post titles. How ? I’ll tell you. You can do it by installing a plugin called All in One SEO (click here to download). It allows you to write a different post title for search engines.

After writing your article, you can write another title, meta description and give meta tags by navigating the same page below, this is what you will see :

Now, the question is what is an Search Engine friendly post title. Below are two post titles for a single post :

Amazing Waterfall Pix

Amazing Waterfall images

Which is better in terms of search engines ? The answer is the second one because it includes the word “images” that is more commonly used and searched than the word “pix”. So, in this way always use those words in post title that are commonly searched.

Short introduction

You article’s introduction should be of 5-6 lines not more than that. Always remember that you’ve only one chance to impress your readers through your article , so the introduction should not be too long that your reader loose interest in your article. To,make the introductory paragraph more attractive you can give related link to previous articles and can also add thumbnails.

No grammatical and spelling mistakes

Well, your article should not have any grammatical and spelling mistake, by default WordPress gives an option to run a spell check and includes 11 languages. Have a look :

Is the content already written ?

Before writing any post make a search and confirm that the content you are writing is new or already discussed in “xyz” blog. If it is already discussed then gather some new points and make your article new and spicy by adding those points. There is no use of rewriting same content again.

Ask for comments and feedback

In order to interact with your readers always ask for comments and feedback in the end of the post. This will help you to get more comments to your post.

Use bullets

Always remember one thing, no ones likes to read that long paragraphs, so always try to write short and in points. Try it once and your readers will enjoy reading your article.

Give screenshots

To make your post more appealing always start your post with a matching screenshot. You can search for images from Flickr. Do not forget to give credits.

Re-read your blog post

It is good to read your post at least 3-4 times before publishing it. It it my personal experience that while reading your post you will get alot of new ideas on how to improve it.

These points are very easy but this point if you can then be patient archive your target step by step and I am sure your Google AdSense Income should increase.

1. Pick a product Keyword

- I use product keywords because you get a higher Earning per click in AdSense when you target these types of “buyer keywords”
- Another reason I use them is because it is easy to write a product review
- Example: “car seats for toddlers”

2. Find 2 other related Long tail keyword

- I then try to find 2 other keywords that have my original keyword in it but also have a brand
- Example: If my keyword was “car seats for toddlers” I would use “evenflo car seats for toddlers”

3. Research Competition and CPC

- I go to the google keyword tool listed here https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and check out the CPC of all of my keywords
- I try to target only keywords with a CPC of $1 or more
- I put my keyword into google and get the top 10 results
- I take all 10 Urls and put them into yahoo site explorer to see how many backlinks they have
- If out of the top 10 most have more than 100 backlinks I will find new keywords

4. Use a simple and Clean Theme

- I use a very simple and clean theme that has a good Click through rate
- An example of a good theme is here www.carseatsfortoddlers.info

5. Write about 400 words of content on your product

- I write about 400 words of content about each keyword on separate pages
- If your wondering what to write about why not write it in a product review fashion?

6. Build 30 backlinks each week to each page until you are ranked

- I write articles about my products and submit to ezine, do blog commenting, and social bookmark

7. Add Adsense once you are ranked

- I wait until I am ranked to add AdSense so I get a higher payout

8. Rinse and Repeat X 30 = 100/day

9. My favorite step – Enjoy the Profits!

Picking your first search engine optimisation company

It is not an easy task for a new online firm to select an appropriate optimisation company. Research must be done in a meticulous fashion if a suitable outfit is to be hired. This means that it is important to consider the different roles which an organisation has to perform. These include conventional optimisation, social media marketing and internet reputation management.

At Searchengineoptimisation.co.uk we can deliver top class services in all three areas of optimisation. In particular, our campaigns work well because they are focused on the needs of the specific sites concerned. In addition, our commitment to reputation management ensures that a site has its image enhanced and protected.

Not every firm has the capacity to deliver high quality reputation management. Some of them are unable to implement white hat techniques. Such firms breach the ethical code established and maintained by Google and the other search engines. The sites they manage are often left in a state which ordinary users do not appreciate. These enterprises can often be detected by their misleading claims in relation to optimisation.

A black hat optimisation company does not respect the differences between diverse sites. It applies techniques which are counterproductive and put the long term interests of sites in considerable jeopardy. By leaving sites at risk of a search engine penalty and by littering these sites with poor quality ngincontent and inappropriate irrelevant links, black hat firms actively undermine the reputations of the sites they are meant to be representing.

What is the Alexa Rank?

keep it simple, the Alexa Rank is a ranking system which bases its ranking schema on the level of traffic each website receives from the number of people who visit a website with the Alexa toolbar installed.

Why would you want to increase your Alexa rank?

Alexa is a very famous source to know the rankings of any website so almost all webmasters, advertisers and ad networks use your blog’s Alexa rank as a gauge to determine the worth of a link on your website. So you will need to start bargaining power when it comes to ad pricing.

How do I get started with Alexa?

There are two easy ways to start using Alexa. If you are using Internet Explorer, visit this page and download the Alexa Toolbar. If you’re using Firefox, download the SearchStatus extension which displays the Alexa Rank, Google PageRank as well as other useful features and if you are a google chrome user then you may follow this link to install alexa rank checker extension. I highly recommend that you use Firefox and SearchStatus instead of Alexa toolbar, which I find to be more bulky and less useful.

20 Ways to Increase your Alexa Rank

Listed below are some very interesting methods with which you can boost your Alexa Rank. Some of the tips are derived from several fellow bloggers I know who claimed of getting the good results after this !

To increase your Alexa rank in the long run, I would highly recommended that one focus on developing quality content which attracts and maintains a large audience instead of purely focusing on artificially increasing your Alexa Rank.

Great link-worthy content will leads to an natural increase in site traffic and is an excellent way to passively increase your Alexa rank.

It is important to emphasize that you should devote most of your efforts in growing your site audience alongside integrated implementation of any of the following tips below.

The most important and basic step is to Install the Alexa toolbar or Firefox’s SearchStatus extension and set your blog as your homepage.

Put up an Alexa rank widget on your website. I myself still have to follow this step but will be doing it today for sure. According to some, each click counts as a visit even if the toolbar is not used by the visitor.

Encourage others to use the Alexa toolbar. This includes friends, fellow webmasters as well as site visitors/blog readers. Be sure to link to Alexa’s full explanation of their toolbar and tracking system so your readers know what installing the toolbar or extension entails.

Work in an Office or own a company? Get the Alexa toolbar or SS Firefox extension installed on all computers and set your website as the homepage for all browsers. Perhaps it will be useful to note that this may work only when dynamic or different IPs are used.

Get friends to review and rate your Alexa website profile. Not entirely sure of its impact on rankings but it might help in some way.

Write or Blog about Alexa. Webmaster and bloggers love to hear about ways to increase their Alexa rank. They’ll link to you and send you targeted traffic (i.e. visitors with the toolbar already installed). This gradually has effects on your Alexa ranking.

Flaunt your URL in webmaster forums. Webmasters usually have the toolbar installed. You’ll get webmasters to visit your website and offer useful feedback. It’s also a good way to give back to the community if you have useful articles to share with others.

Write content that is related to webmasters. This can fall in the category of domaining and SEO, two fields in which most webmasters will have the Alexa toolbar installed. Promote your content on social networking websites and webmaster forums.

Post in Asian social networking websites or forums. Some webmasters have suggested that East Asian web users are big Alexa toolbar fans, judging by the presence of several Asia-based websites in the Alexa Top 500. I suggest trying this only if you have the time or capacity to do so.

Create a webmaster tools section on your website. This is a magnet for webmasters who will often revisit your website to gain access to the tools. Aaron Wall’s webpage on SEOTools is a very good example.

Get Dugg or Stumbled. This usually brings massive numbers of visitors to your website and the sheer amount will have a positive impact on your Alexa Rank. Naturally, you’ll need to develop link worthy material.

Use PayperClick Campaigns. Buying advertisements on search engines such as Google or Exact Seek will help bring in Traffic. Doubly useful when your ad is highly relevant to webmasters.

Create an Alexa category on your blog and use it to include any articles or news about Alexa. This acts as an easily accessible resource for webmasters or casual search visitors while helping you rank in the search engines.

Optimize your popular posts. Got a popular post that consistently receives traffic from the search engines? Include a widget/graph at the bottom of the post, link to your Alexa post or use Alexa redirection on your internal URLs.

Buy banners and links for traffic from webmaster forums and websites. A prominent and well displayed ad will drive lots of webmaster traffic to your website, which can significantly boost your rank.

Hire forum posters to pimp your website. Either buy signatures in webmaster forums or promote specific articles or material in your website on a regular basis. You can easily find posters for hire in Digital Point and other webmaster forums.

Pay Cybercafe owners to install the Alexa toolbar and set your website as the homepage for all their computers. This might be difficult to arrange and isn’t really a viable solution for most. I’m keeping this one in because some have suggested that it does work.

Use MySpace . This is a little shady so I don’t recommended it unless you’re really interested in artificially inflating your Alexa Rank. Use visually attractive pictures or banners and link them to your redirected Alexa URL. This will be most effective if your website has content that is actually relevant to the MySpace Crowd.

Try Alexa auto-surfs. Do they work? Maybe for brand new sites. I think they are mostly suitable for new websites with a very poor Alexa rank. Note that there be problems when you try to use auto surfs alongside contextual ads like Adsense. They aren’t also long term solutions to improving your Alexa Rank so I suggest using with caution.

I leave this point blank for you to fill up !! leave your comment as what yould you do to increase your Alexa Rank !
